Answer

In a Web Conference class, you can learn anywhere you have access to the internet.  You will virtually meet at specific dates/times, connecting people to people.

Class sessions are scheduled at specific dates and times, and students must attend all scheduled class times.

Students must interact with their instructor and classmates through the Collaborate web conferencing tool within NWTC’s Blackboard Learn system. Class access begins on the class start date.

Live class sessions are led by the instructor using the Collaborate web conferencing tool. Students will access Collaborate using an individual computer or device. Students will also need access to a high-speed internet connection, a microphone, speakers or headphones, and a web camera. Visit the following link for computer system requirements for web conferencing:  https://nwtc.libanswers.com/faq/212938.

NWTC locations can provide internet access and each location has some computers available for on-site use on a first come, first served basis.

If you are new to Online Learning at NWTC, orientation information is available on the Blackboard Login page.  Click Resources and then Blackboard Learn Orientation.
