Follow these steps to export events and appointments from Google Calendar and import them into the web version of Microsoft Outlook.
Step 1: Export your Google Calendar
- Log on to your NWTC Google Gmail account at https://calendar.google.com
- Hover over the calendar you'd like to export, click the three dots that appear to the right, and click 'Settings and sharing'.
- Go to Import and Export -> Export in the settings menus. Here you can click on EXPORT at the bottom of the screen.
- Select a location to save the extracted file.
- Go to the location where you saved the file and unzip the file by right-clicking the file name and choosing Extract files... Choose where to extract your files.
- The extracted file will look something like this one, with your email address as the name of the file:
Now you're ready to import your Google Calendar into Microsoft Outlook.
Step 2: Import your Google Calendar into your Microsoft Outlook Calendar
- Go to your NWTC Microsoft Calendar via the web: https://outlook.office365.com/calendar/view/week
- Click Add calendar
- Choose Upload from file
- Click Browse, and choose the .ics file you extracted.
- In the drop-down menu, make sure Calendar is selected and click on Import
Your imported Google calendar will now be visible in the Calendars section of Outlook!
