Follow these steps to export events and appointments from Google calendar and import into the web version of Microsoft Outlook

Step 1: Export your Google Calendar

  1. Log on to your NWTC Google Gmail account at https://calendar.google.com
  2. Hover over the calendar you'd like to export, click the three dots that appear to the right, and click 'Settings and sharing'.

  1. Go to Import and Export -> Export in the settings menus. Here you can click on EXPORT at the bottom of the screen.

  1. Select a location to save the extracted file. 
  2. Go to the location where you saved the file and unzip the file by right-clicking the file name and choosing Extract files... Choose where to extract your files.

  1. The extracted file will look something like this one, with your email address as the name of the file:

Now you're ready to import your Google Calendar into Microsoft Outlook.

Step 2: Import your Google Calendar into your Microsoft Outlook Calendar

  1. Go to your NWTC Microsoft Calendar via the web:  https://outlook.office365.com/calendar/view/week
  2. Click Add calendar


             

  1. Choose Upload from file

  1. Click Browse, and choose the .ics file you extracted.

  1. In the drop down menu, make sure Calendar is selected and click on Import

Your imported Google calendar will now be visible in the Calendars section of Outlook!
