Answer
The main sections of an APA paper are:
Title Page
-
The Title Page is the first page of your paper.
-
See Formatting the Title Page for all the required elements and spacing rules.
Abstract (optional)
-
Ask your instructor if they want you to include an Abstract.
-
The abstract is the second page of your paper (after the Title page).
Body of Paper
-
Repeat your paper title (centered and bolded again) at the top of the first page of text.
-
See Citations in the Body of Your Paper for how to format your in-text citations.
References Page
- The References page is the last section of your paper.
- List the sources alphabetically by authors' last names (or name of organization, if there is a group author). If no author is listed, start with the title of the article, book, or web resource.
