Pick-ups

You can just walk in to find books during Library hours. For purchased textbooks, remember to use the Bookstore's Pick Up Option instead.

Placing Book Holds - If you would like to have a library book waiting for you, place a hold in Library Search.  For available physical items, click See Full Record/Place Holds and then click Request It to login, select the pick up location, and submit your request.  You will be notified when the item is ready for you.

Drive to 2740 W Mason St and park in Lot F.  Walk down the path, under the skywalk, and over the courtyard to door #5 (map).  Your item will be waiting in a bag for you on the Book Pick-Up cart by the Library entrance.

Laptops - While NWTC is unable to provide every student a laptop, the College has a session-long checkout laptop collection to assist students who require a laptop to be successful in their NWTC courses and do not have access to a computer.  To request a laptop, please ask your instructor to create a NWTC Laptop Need Starfish referral. The referral will add your name to the students who can pick up a laptop from the Library anytime during our hours. You will receive an email and a text message when you have been added to the list.

Hot spots - The College has some hot spots for students who do not have any wifi and live in an area with broadband access.  Hot spots are paired with NWTC laptops and cannot be used with any other device.  Hot spots do not improve poor internet signals, so they cannot be checked out to students who already have wifi.  To request a laptop/hotspot, please ask your instructor to create a NWTC Laptop Need Starfish referral and to specify that you need both pieces of equipment. The referral will add your name to the students who can pick up a laptop & hotspot from the Library anytime during our hours. You will receive an email and a text message when you have been added to the list.

To pick up the equipment, drive to 2740 W Mason St and park in Lot F.  Walk down the path, under the skywalk, and over the courtyard to door #5 (map).  Tell the Library staff that you have a referral for a laptop or laptop & hotspot.  Remember to keep a distance from others if you need to wait.

Please come prepared to login to the laptop while on campus (using your NWTC ID number and password).  Librarians will teach you how to connect to the College's resources remotely.

Laptops will be due back after the session ends.
