Answer

Google Scholar uses the Google search engine to find scholarly citations and publications online. It looks at academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities, and other websites for:

  • Peer-reviewed papers.

  • Theses.

  • Books.

  • Abstracts.

  • Articles.

(While the full text is sometimes available for free through Google, the search results also include citations for articles that are not free.)

Google Scholar can let you know when something is available for free from the NWTC Library.

  • Just click on the three lines in the upper left corner and choose Settings.

  • Then click on Library links

  • Search for northeast wisconsin technical college and check the boxes for "Full Text from NWTC" and "FullText @ NWTC's Library." It is also a good idea to add "Open WorldCat" as well to connect with other libraries in your area. Then save your settings.
