Answer

Current active students who are not current employees should apply for NWTC positions through the student worker career site. If you are an internal employee, please use the internal worker career site to apply for positions.

To find and apply for work-study jobs:

  1. Log in to the Student Portal using your NWTC ID number and password. You may need to use multi-factor authentication to verify your identity. (Watch a short video about how to log in to your account.
  2. On the homepage, click Workday. You may be asked to sign in again with your NWTC login information.

  1. In Workday, click Menu, then Careers for Students.

  1. Click Find Jobs for Students.

  1. Review the job postings for position details and click Apply to begin a job application.

  1. Fill out the job application. Required sections are marked with a red star (*)
    1. Use Quick Apply to upload your resume and automatically fill out the My Experience section. Review each section for errors.
    2. If you did not upload a resume, fill out each section manually
    3. Double-check your application before submitting it to ensure all required information is included.
  2. After submission, selection committees will review applications and contact you with the next steps.
    1. If selected, you will receive a phone call.
    2. If not selected, you will receive an email when the position is filled.

To view your work-study job application status:

  1. In Workday, click Menu, then Careers for Students.
  2. Click My Applications – Student.

  1. Any applications for work-study jobs you have applied to will appear here.

To withdraw your work-study job application:

  1. In Workday, click Menu, then Careers for Students.
  2. Click My Applications, then Withdraw Application.
  3. Select the job you wish to withdraw from, then click OK.
