Answer

Academic Coaching & Tutoring (ACT) is not an alternative option to attending class. It should be in addition to, not in place of, going to class or learning from your instructor(s). You learn the course content in the class (in-person or online), and when you need someone to be there with questions or some guidance on how to move forward with a project or homework, ACT can do that!

Tutors will not teach new course material you missed or are trying to work ahead or are not enrolled in. Each session will have a goal that you want to focus on, and you will work with a tutor for about 30 minutes. Tutors will guide you in your goal for the session and suggest next steps for you to complete on your own before your next tutoring session.
