Students enrolled in credit-based courses may work with a tutor on topic generation, focus/thesis, idea development, APA and MLA citation/documentation and more. Tutors are happy to look at grammatical errors and assist you in learning how to edit your writing. While they will not proofread the entire paper for you, they will help you locate reoccurring errors and show you resources to assist with the final proofreading of your paper. The Writing Lab wants to see you learn to be a stronger writer and succeed. The tutoring method empowers students to build skills to be independently successful after leaving NWTC.
The NWTC Writing Lab is a drop-in space where you can get assistance with the writing process from peers who have been successful in their own writing classes. They know exactly how it feels! See the Writing Lab schedule for hours and more information.
