How do I cite a source in APA that has no author?

Remember: The author of a source does not have to be a person; it can be a group, such as an organization or government agency! 

However, if there is no personal or group author, follow this format:

References Page

Start with the article title:

• Practical oral care for people with intellectual disability.

OR

Book/Website title:

• Evicted: Poverty and profit in the American city.

In-Text/Parenthetical Citation

If no author is listed, use the first word or two of the title:

• In quotation marks for articles

• Italicized for books/websites

For example, if you are using an article with the title "Practical oral care for people with intellectual disability," the parenthetical citation would look like:

• ("Practical oral," 2014).
