Where can I take the GED® or HSED® Test?

The NWTC test centers (located at NWTC Green BayNWTC Marinette, and NWTC Sturgeon Bay) administer the GED® and HSED Tests.

How do I make an appointment to take the GED® or HSED® Test?

NWTC Green Bay: HSED/GED® Test Candidates should schedule their test appointments on the GED website. To schedule Health tests, please schedule an appointment by calling (920) 498-5427.

NWTC Marinette: HSED/GED® Test Candidates should schedule their test appointments on the GED® website. To schedule Health tests, please schedule an appointment by calling (715) 732-3874.

NWTC Sturgeon Bay: Please contact Sturgeon Bay's Chief GED® Test Examiner at (920) 746-4908.

How much does GED® Testing and HSED® Testing cost?

The TABE assessments, orientation, and preparation courses are free.

See the "Testing Fees" under Step 4: Take the GED® Test. No refunds will be issued for test fees paid in advance. The same fees are applicable at all test centers.

What documentation must I provide to test?

You must provide proof of age, as well as a valid, unexpired, picture identification. Your driver's license is preferred. The name on the identification must match your name exactly.

If you have an out of state ID, you must have proof that you are a resident of Wisconsin. Examples would be: an electric/water bill, check statement, or payroll stub.

Is the GED® test offered in Spanish?

Yes. To select your exam in Spanish please go to the GED® website and select "Español" on your dashboard.
