NWTC uses many methods to contact students when the College closes due to the severe weather policy.
Rave Alert System
Enrolled students receive text messages through the Rave Alert System indicating that the College has closed due to weather conditions (or any other vital information relevant to the campus they attend).

Students can check the NWTC home page for posts about weather-related closings.
Radio
Radio announcements will be made on the following stations for college or campus closings:
- Green Bay - WIXX 101.1, WTAQ 97.5, WLTM 95.9, WNCY 100.3, WNFL 1440, WROE 94.3, WOZZ 94.7, WZBY 99.7, WDUZ 107.5, WQLH 98.5, WAPL 105.7, WHBY 1150, WSCO 1570, WZOR 94.7, and WKZG 104.3.
- Marinette - WAGN 1340, WHYB 103.7, WLST 95.1, WMAM 570, WSFQ 96.3, and WOCO 107.1.
- Sturgeon Bay - WDOR 93.9, WBDK 96.7, and WSRG 97.7.
Television
TV announcements will be made on WBAY (Channel 2), WFRV (Channel 5), WGBA (Channel 26), and WLUK (Channel 11).
